The timber frame package can include internal doors, external
doors
and windows and staircases, produced to a very
high
standard in Finland.
These come factory double glazed and finished in
lacquer so no further labour intensive decoration is needed. The
design is of Scandinavian appearance. The timber frame house
kit is manufactured
in Finland and produced from high quality Finnish Redwood grown from
sustainable Finland forests.
The standard wall frame of the timber frame
is constructed from
45 x 195 mm and is normally the same for the sole plate, studs
and top plates. Obviously the timbers for the roof construction will
vary dependent on the spans required. These can be trusses or 'cut',
dependent on design. This also applies to the intermediate floor joists.
All fixings are supplied either in
high quality zinc coated or stainless steel
The short
erection time in the timber frame work allows for early covering in
membranes
such as tyvex or similar breathable and vapour barriers, so allowing
other services to get underway without delay.
The external finishing can be created to
compliment the local environment. E.g. stone, brick or render or even
clad in timber to enhance the beauty of the timber frame construction.
Insulation is specified to meet the building regulations and improve on
energy efficiency. If desired, the post and beam construction can allow
you to create the open roof structure that increases the spatial effect.
The complete package will include Lappiporras stairs.

The timber frame
allows for a
high level of insulation. Therefore being thermally efficient and
reduces the cost of heating. Using Isover insulation in
conjuction with Lion board it is now possible to achive a U value of
0.18 - 0.20

package if required. Planning consent, building control, working
drawings, designing your foundations, assisting you in sourcing heating
systems. Ventilation and heat recovery systems, or just supply the
frame if necessary.
A complete CAD system can be generated from
your design and in conjunction with our building surveyor. We can deal
with producing drawings for planning and building control. We can even
help you find a builder!
Full CAD drawings are supplied and each
component is coded for easy identification.
